Seahorse Drift Bowl

"Seahorses are truly unique, and not just because of their unusual equine shape. Unlike most other fish, they are monogamous and mate for life. Rarer still, they are among the only animal species on Earth in which the male bears the unborn young."-National Geographic
These truly unique creatures aren't the strongest swimmers so are mostly found among the reeds and seagrass where they anchor themselves to they aren't lost amongst the currents they depend on to feed. With this information Lark Sundsmo was inspired to draw her scene which she then transfers to her pottery through a silk screening process allowing her to fill in and color and embelish according to her vision. This bowl was wrapped in her favorite high fire glaze combinations to a truly ocean inspired stoneware bowl. These high fired bowls are strong and will last many years with frequent use, are dishwasher safe and an incentive to clean your bowl or display for your ocean themed decor!
